Ricos Products is a legacy brand that has been in business for over 100 years. This past year I got the privilege to work on a few projects for them. Here are a few of the projects I worked on.
Packaging
I was tasked to take Ricos Original Nacho Chips and revamp the packaging in a sideways chip bag exclusively for concessions. I wanted this version of the chips to have a fun "cheesy" flair while still giving a nod to the OG chips that started it all. This design was the approved mock up and is currently in production to hit concession stands by 2025.
Product Development
San Antonio is infamous for their iconic fiesta medals. Companies and small businesses alike join in on the celebration every year and produces their own medal for Fiesta go-ers and collectors. This is the metal that I designed for Ricos Fiesta 2024. I also art directed and concepted this photoshoot to promote the medal on social media.

For 2024 Ricos went a little out of the box for their marketing campaign. Rico, the mascot, decided to run for head of cheesy affairs for the Vote For Rico campaign. One of the many deliverables we did for this campaign was campaign stickers, buttons, magnets, yard signs, and more. Here are few examples of the deliverables I designed for this campaign.

To roll our the new merch I designed for the Vote For Rico campaign, we wanted to showcase the merch in a fun way. This is a photoshoot I concepted for the merch reveal.

As a legacy brand Ricos had existing mascot characters that were introduced in their early days as a concessions snack. This year I was tasks with taking these beloved characters and revamping them. I kept their original features and just modernised them. In addition I also created vector illustrations of various products that we use for social media, emails, digital market, and even packaging.
